DREW LOVES POM-POMS
For Christmas, Janine bought Drew some little Zara mittens. Despite never having actually worn these mittens for the purpose they were intended, Drew adores them (even now, despite it being July). The reason she loves them is that on the tip of each mitten is a pom-pom. We can now attest that Drew is truly a RinkaDink baby because she was clearly born with a deep and pure love of pom-poms.
During the craziness of the last few months, I swore I would give this wee woman her first RAD Creative Studio session. I batted around a couple of ideas, one of which even made it to build stage! It was a truly epic fail, only Janine and Dean have seen the broken remnants and know the disappointment in my heart. (I may share pics when the fail doesn’t feel so fresh). But the truth is, these failed sets failed for a reason, they weren't the one for Drew. Then one morning whilst she was hugging one of her pom-pom mittens (yes she hugs them like they are her teddy bears), I knew what the set had to be.
The timing was perfect, Drew has just turned 18 months and we were about to reopen the RAD doors after what felt like the longest 4 months away from our wee studio. What better way to celebrate everything RAD, than a pom-pom themed shoot! To say this little lady had the best morning of her life would be a violent understatement. Usually, I struggle to take pictures of Drew because she is obsessed with my camera (and it's buttons) but this day the camera paled in comparison to her very own pom-pom wonderland. I swear I thought this kid was going to burst from excitement. 18 months is a busy age but MAN ALIVE, it is one of the sweetest, heart-melting, most fun stages.
So our little mullet haired, pom-pom loving model gave us some inspiration and an idea. Although our RAD Summer Pop Up ‘should’ have happened in June, we're thinking that we might run a super limited pom-pom themed set at the end of August. We’re testing the water to see what demand is like so email us if you are interested and we'll get a waitlist together. We won't put this one on sale the way we normally do because of the super limited availability but we’ll make a waitlist and allocate places based on this. Side note, if you have already been in touch with us about pop up, don't worry, we got you and your name is already firmly on the list ;)
