We straight up ADORE the process of recording a sweet momma-to-be. It might be because we love being around that amazing energy, all filled with anticipation and joy, or, it might just be because it's fun when a subject does what they are told for 20 mins (unlike the majority of our other subjects who laugh at us when given direction #toddlersareafunbutunreasonableboss). Whatever the reason, bump shoots are one of our fave photography sessions. Recording that moment right before your whole world shifts just fills us with so much happy. So here are some pics from a maternity shoot with the *outrageously* beautiful Elanna, plus some FAQs on bump shoots.

Questions we get asked on Maternity Photography Sessions;

When should I have the pictures taken

We recommend 32-35 weeks. When that bump is on full display and you are still feeling comfortable :)

What sort of style are RinkaDink bump shoots?

Our maternity photography style is modern, natural and simple. We keep the shoot very relaxed and we promise not to make you feel like a dork. Our studio is a bit magic and we'll utilise all that amazeballs natural light, along with our skills and talents, to make some images that you will cherish forever.

Does my parter have to be involved?

Nope - this is entirely up to you guys. Some clients like to have their partner involved and some don't. The bump shoot is about you and that sweet belly. Dad's are always welcome, but attendance is entirely optional :)

How long is the shoot?

Around 20 mins.

How many images do I get and when do I get them?

As with all RinkaDink shoots, all of your edited digital images are included in the session price. We will send your files by digital link within two weeks of your shoot and we promise no less that 30 beautiful images.

What do I wear?

Something that hugs your bump and that you feel good in. Your own style is so important in these sessions :) Cute jewellery and a good manicure are also a good call.
