We’re so happy you found our little corner of the internet! We are Lindsay & Janine (we’re the dorks in the balloon photo) and RinkaDink is our natural light studio located in Portview Trade Centre in East Belfast, Northern Ireland. (We’re biased but our studio really does have the most gorgeous light).

ABOUT US

We understand that choosing a newborn photographer is a big deal. So here are four things that will help you decide if we are a good fit for you…

  1. Our style is natural and timeless. We don’t use props, we focus solely on you and your newborn baby. We think simple is always better.

  2. We’ve been photographing babies and newborns for over ten years. We also have 4 children between us.

  3. Our entire studio is set up for newborns and their (exhausted) parents. We even designed a specialist room just for tiny humans called the NewbCube© 

  4. Our goal is to get some beautiful images of your baby while ensuring the shoot is as relaxing for you, as it is for baby.  We are baby-led in every aspect of your shoot. Which simply means we will work to your baby’s rhythm and we’ll make the shoot suit them.

 HOW DOES THIS WORK?

1. Get in touch

We’ll send you info on pricing, shoot details and our availability. We’ll also answer any questions you might have.

2. You’re in our diary

We add your due date to our newborn diary and ask you to contact us once you and baby are home from hospital.

3. Your shoot

This is the best bit. We will get you a confirmed date and time for your shoot within baby’s first few weeks.

 

NEWBORN SHOOT FAQS

  1. How far in advance should I book?

    We recommend getting in touch as early as possible, a minimum of three months before that little peanut is due.  We can sometimes have availability for last minute bookings but we absolutely hate having to say no because of availability - so the sooner the better.

  2. How does the booking process work - I mean we don't know exactly when baby will arrive?

    Upon booking we add your due date to our newborn diary.  We only take a certain number of newborn bookings at any one time to ensure we can manage flexibility around due dates.  Once you and that little bundle of love are home from hospital, we ask you to get back in touch and at this point we get you a confirmed session date and time.  

  3. How long is the session?

    Typically 90 mins depending on how sleepy / hungry baby is.

  4. How many images do I get?

    A minimum of 50 sweet files (usually more).

  5. How much does a newborn shoot cost?

    Our newborn shoots cost £450. AND at the moment we are offering a free maternity shoot (worth £275) with all newborn bookings. All RinkaDink shoots include all of your digital images which are yours to download and print as you please. We don’t do complicated pricing.

  6. What do I need to bring to the session?

    Just your sweet baby.  We have all of the blankets, wraps, outfits and countless other newborn accoutrements :)

  7. What if my baby doesn't sleep or is fussy during the session?

    We are 100% baby-led.  This means we work the session to suit your baby.  Not all babies like to sleep.  Some babies don't like to lie on their tummy / side / back.  Some babies like to be swaddled.  Some babies don't.  No matter what, we promise a set of adorable images of your sweet family.  

  8. Can I have some family pictures included in the session.

    Of course.  We always make time at the end of the session for some sweet parent and sibling shots.
